This Hall County Republican Candidate Forum was well attended on Thursday night by a large group of concerned citizens who came to learn more about the candidates who will be on their ballots in the July 18 Republican Primary.

Lee Darragh, incumbent district attorney for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit that includes Hall and Dawson counties, and his opponent Lisa Jones. Both touted their leadership styles, experience and their support for tough punishment for criminals, including the death penalty.

Jeff Williams has served in the GA House (1994-2002) when he lived in Gwinnett County. Mark Musselwhite was elected to the Gainesville City Council in 2000 and later served as Mayor. Lee Hawkins, a well known Gainesville dentist, has never served in an elected position and is a newcomer to the Republican Party.
